Ensuring Safe Transport: The Role of De-Escalation, Safety, and Behavior Management in Driver Training

Presented by: Brennan Roy, Crisis Intervention Solutions, LLC

Student behavior on school buses remains a significant challenge for daily transportation operations and has an impact on driver retention. This presentation will explore training options designed to enhance both driver and student safety.

The session will cover the benefits of training for both individuals and organizations, addressing key topics such as de-escalation techniques, personal safety, and behavior management strategies. Additionally, we will discuss methods for delivering more effective training programs. The presenter will also compare traditional instructor-led workshops with online and hybrid training formats.
