VIRTUAL MEETING

Electric School Buses, What You Need to Know
Panel Presentation

As municipalities and school districts seek to limit their impact on climate change and improve the health of their students, electric school buses represent an increasingly attractive option. Consisting of representatives from both private industry and the public sector, this panel will provide information about electric school buses, including both the benefits and challenges with their deployment. There will also be ample time for participants to ask questions of the expert panel.

We are excited to welcome Mr. Jesse Way, Clean Energy Specialist for the Metropolitan Area Planning Council (MAPC).  Mr. Way works with municipalities to mitigate greenhouse gas emissions and adapt to the impacts of climate change. With over five years of experience in climate change policy and three years in data analysis, he brings a pragmatic and analytical mindset to the challenges facing communities in mitigating and adapting to climate change. In his work at MAPC, Mr. Way specializes in clean transportation and climate action planning.

Updates will be provided from
Margaret Rohanna, Registry of Motor Vehicles
Anne Marie Stronach, Department of Elementary and Secondary Education
Judith Crocker, Safe Routes to School

Please take a moment to complete this brief survey and share your questions on electric school bus operations.
