Transportation Security Administration (TSA)

Are Your School Bus Operations Safe?

Join us for an informative presentation on the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) programs and resources designed to strengthen security and preparedness in student transportation. Learn about initiatives such as the BASE, SETA, T-Start, EXIS, First Observer Plus, and 5N5 programs, which offer tailored assessments, training, and tools to enhance security measures, emergency response, and collaboration with law enforcement. Discover cost-effective strategies to protect students, staff, and transportation assets while boosting community trust.  Our presenter Chris Morrison is a TSA Surface Inspector with the Boston Field Office, covering all of New England. With 23 years at the TSA and 19 years as an inspector, Chris has served in multiple specialized roles, including as a Cargo Division Inspector and an Explosive Detection K9 Handler. His career includes participation in five national security event details, such as the G-20 Summit, the Nuclear Security Summit, and multiple operations supporting presidential vacations.

Also hear an un-classified Intelligence briefing from an intel officer which lays out the current threats facing surface transportation today.

We will also have updates from the RMV, DESE and Safe Routes to School.

Please don't miss this opportunity to network with colleagues and gain knowledge at the same time!
